About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the planning, execution, and
delivery of high-profile mechanical construction projects. This senior leadership role requires a
strategic thinker who can mentor teams, manage client relationships, oversee budgets, and
ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Oversight
● Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to project management teams.
● Set project objectives, priorities, and success metrics.
● Ensure teams have the necessary resources and support to achieve project goals.
● Monitor performance, track KPIs, and resolve escalated issues swiftly.
Client Relationship Management
● Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication.
● Anticipate client needs, address concerns promptly, and ensure satisfaction.
● Promote client retention through exceptional service delivery.
Financial & Risk Management
● Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
● Review financial reports, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to
maintain profitability.
● Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with all
relevant regulations.
Team Development & Mentoring
● Coach and mentor project managers, fostering professional growth and team
effectiveness.
● Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
● Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration,
or related field (Master’s preferred).
● 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including 3+ years in a
senior/director-level role.
● Proven success managing large-scale, complex projects from start to finish.
● Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
● Proficiency with project management software tools.
● Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
● Excellent financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
● Exceptional client relationship skills, with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
● Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
● Experience mentoring and developing teams to achieve high performance.
Salary & Compensation – Charlotte, NC Market
● Estimated Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $175,000 annually
○ Based on Charlotte’s competitive construction management market and senior
leadership scope.
○ Total compensation may exceed $200K with performance-based bonuses and
benefits.
