VP of Business Development, Healthcare

Trase Systems is an early-stage AI company focused on making enterprise AI simple, safe, and operational — particularly agentic AI for complex industries like healthcare. We seek a seasoned VP of Business Development (Healthcare Providers & Health Systems) to lead commercial growth, own the P&L for the provider segment, shape product priorities, and scale customer adoption across hospitals and health systems.

Skills

  • 15+ years of healthcare provider/business development experience with deep provider network relationships
  • Proven enterprise SaaS sales leadership and P&L management
  • Strong familiarity with clinical workflows, health IT, and EHR integration opportunities
  • Ability to translate clinical and operational problems into product requirements
  • Data-driven pipeline and forecasting skills; CRM and metrics orientation
  • Excellent executive-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, early-stage startup environments

Responsibilities

  • P&L ownership for the Healthcare Provider business unit, driving revenue, margins, and operational performance
  • Design and execute multi-channel demand generation and customer acquisition strategies targeting hospitals and health systems
  • Manage and grow a qualified enterprise sales pipeline; convert design partnerships to paid contracts and expand accounts
  • Optimize customer lifecycle: onboarding, activation, retention, and upsell to maximize LTV and minimize churn
  • Partner with Operations to build data-driven reporting and CRM processes to inform go-to-market decisions
  • Participate in product discovery and roadmap planning; translate provider needs into product requirements
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering on feature specs and user experiences for agentic AI workflows
  • Lead cross-functional teams and represent healthcare provider priorities to executive leadership and partners

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MD, or similar) preferred
  • Clinical or technical background in healthcare or health IT is a plus
