Customer Account Manager, SMB

Shopmonkey is a leading cloud-based auto-repair shop software company focused on helping shops streamline operations and improve customer experience. The Customer Account Manager, SMB will drive expansion within the existing SMB customer base by building relationships, increasing product adoption, and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Skills

  • 2+ years of sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience managing month-to-month and multi-year contracts across multiple products
  • Comfort with SaaS platforms and the ability to discuss product value with non-technical users
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales forecasting processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
  • Willingness to travel for onsite client visits (~20–30%)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality expansion opportunities within the SMB customer base
  • Identify adoption gaps and drive deeper product usage to enable upsells and cross-sells
  • Define and execute targeted sales strategies to demonstrate Shopmonkey's value to customers
  • Manage and forecast opportunity pipeline accurately using CRM and payments platforms
  • Close expansion deals across multi-product and multi-term contracts
  • Conduct onsite client visits (travel ~20–30%) and deliver tailored product recommendations
  • Collaborate with product, customer success, and sales teams to improve customer outcomes
  • Continuously learn the Shopmonkey product suite and the automotive repair industry

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience in sales
  • Relevant sales training or certifications are a plus
