Market Research Analyst - Product

The Product Innovation team supports the strategy and design of innovative learning solutions at the intersection of higher education, alternative credentials, employer markets and workforce development. This role works across all teams - market research, product marketing and other Risepoint units - to identify, design and grow scalable, skills-based, and career-connected learning solutions. 

Job Summary

We are seeking a curious, data-savvy, and insights-driven Market Research Analyst to support the Product Innovation team. 

This position focuses on uncovering trends, analyzing data, and influencing strategy through actionable insights to enhance the Partner’s programs. The work will span both domestic and international research efforts, helping to shape new products and strengthen existing offerings through a deep understanding of consumers, markets, and competitive dynamics.

The Analyst will assist in gathering, interpreting, and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into narratives that help the organization stay ahead of the curve. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly to shifting priorities, and has a strong pulse on consumer and market trends.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Description

Research & Trend Analysis:

  • Conduct mostly secondary research to explore market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor movements to help make informed decisions about their offerings.
  • Monitor emerging consumer and societal trends across industries to help identify innovation opportunities. Share trends to offer predictions on product success and relevance to student populations.
  • Occasionally provide support to survey design in the form of consultive feedback of survey design, interpretation of results and alignment of results to market research.

Data Collection:

  • Work with large and small datasets, data research tools and techniques to identify insights. Compile and evaluate data for trends.
    • Must be proficient with data tools and approaches such as Lightcast, Tableau or Qualtrics
  • Synthesize research findings into compelling, actionable insights for internal stakeholders, especially in product and strategy teams.
  • Translate trends and data into visualizations, briefs, and slide decks to support business development and innovation strategies.
    • Awareness of trends in higher education and or workforce development and learning ideal although not required.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate internal team and possible external team to ensure that the final product meets defined requirements, delivers value to users, and aligns with business objectives.

Additional Position Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree Business, Education or related field

Master’s degree

Minimum 2 years Proven experience working as a market research analyst or similar role

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Excellent communication and prioritization skills, with a track record of delivering value-driven solutions.

Strong analytical and research skills; ability to integrate local market insights into product strategy

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration

Comprehensive knowledge of statistics and strong capacity to understand and relay complex data across markets
