Skills
- Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems (e.g., NX, Teamcenter, CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Deep knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes including machining, composites, weldments, and additive manufacturing.
- Proven cross-functional program management and cost/schedule/performance trade-off skills.
- Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a tooling engineering team focused on delivering production-ready tooling and automation.
- Define and execute long-term tooling strategy aligned to manufacturing and operations goals.
- Oversee design, fabrication, and commissioning of complex tooling systems across multiple work centers.
- Manage the tooling project portfolio to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
- Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling readiness for new product introductions and ongoing product evolution.
- Standardize best practices for design documentation, preventive maintenance, and configuration control for tooling assets.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering staff and projects.
