Avionics Test Engineer II
Skills
- Experience with electronics hardware simulation or test (1–3 years)
- Familiarity with data acquisition and control platforms (NI, Beckhoff, or similar)
- Hands-on use of lab instruments: power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic loads
- Working knowledge of common comms protocols: Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI
- Ability to collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams and communicate test results clearly
Responsibilities
- Develop test frameworks and infrastructure for qualification and acceptance of avionics components
- Design and build simulation circuits, auxiliary test equipment, test harnesses, fixtures, and enclosures
- Derive test requirements and methodologies with hardware and software engineers
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test procedures for component and system validation
- Integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software to support functional testing
- Collect, analyze, and report test data to inform design iterations and acceptance decisions
Education
- Undergraduate degree (BS) in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Graduate degrees (MS/PhD) in related fields accepted and relevant
