Skills
- Proven experience in electrical test development and failure analysis
- Familiarity with RF principles and antenna electronics
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum/network analyzers, SMUs, and signal generators
- Experience with environmental testing (HALT/HASS, thermal, humidity, shock, vibration)
- Ability to design or specify PCBAs and test fixtures
- Proficient programming for test automation and data analysis (Python, C/C++)
- Strong measurement and metrology understanding, including uncertainty analysis
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical findings clearly
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute environmental, RF, mechanical, and electrical test solutions for ground antenna electronics and payloads
- Perform detailed failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Select COTS instrumentation or design custom PCBAs to measure signals, apply flight-like loads, and power units under test
- Provide hands-on support through design qualification, production ramp, and ground network rollout
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, silicon, and antenna engineers to deliver integrated hardware
- Perform electrical bench testing to reproduce failures and validate mitigations
- Develop physical and digital tools for data collection and analysis from lab and field
- Drive continuous improvement of designs and test methods; simplify complex problems into practical solutions
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline (required)
- Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
