Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (electrical/mechanical engineering, physics, etc.)
- 2+ years professional experience in hardware development, troubleshooting, or data analysis
- 1+ years experience with Python or SQL
- Failure investigation and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience with time series data analysis and reliability statistics
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical findings clearly
Responsibilities
- Analyze and track on-orbit hardware failures for the Starshield satellite constellation
- Drive root cause investigations for major on-orbit hardware anomalies
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, test, operations, and production teams to eliminate failure sources
- Build and use tools to analyze on-orbit and ground test data to inform design and production changes
- Create and maintain monitoring systems to ensure fleet health and automate feedback loops from space
- Communicate findings and reliability recommendations across engineering and operations teams
Education
- Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline required
- Master’s in electrical/computer/mechanical engineering or data science preferred
