Senior Director, Business Development

Precision for Medicine (Precision Medicine Group) is a CRO-focused company supporting clinical development across therapeutic areas. The Senior Director, Clinical Business Development will lead sales and partnership efforts to secure new and repeat business from biotech and pharmaceutical sponsors, coordinating cross-functional teams to create winning proposals and expand market presence in oncology, rare disease, neurology and CNS.

Skills

  • Proven track record in CRO/pharmaceutical business development and winning new business
  • Deep understanding of the clinical development market and Precision for Medicine's role
  • Experience identifying leads, qualifying sponsors and closing RFP-driven engagements
  • Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) and proposal development processes
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and client relationship skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a sales plan to secure new and repeat business from biotech and pharmaceutical sponsors
  • Identify and qualify leads in oncology, rare disease, neurology and CNS; conduct introductory and follow-up meetings with prospective clients
  • Secure RFPs and collaborate with Business Operations/Proposal Team to develop competitive proposals
  • Coordinate with Leadership Team and cross-functional business units to leverage expertise and close opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows and client-sponsored events
  • Work with Marketing and Leadership to develop and execute marketing programs supporting sales goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations (data management companies, other CROs, etc.)
  • Maintain CRM (Salesforce), business plans and metric-tracking tools and provide metric-driven reporting
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, competitiveness and positioning
  • Maintain close contact with sponsor personnel to ensure client expectations are met in partnership with operations
  • Regularly align with line manager (VP of Clinical Business Solutions) on messaging and opportunity actions

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, scientific or healthcare discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Postgraduate qualification in business, scientific or healthcare discipline preferred
