Pattern is currently seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer with proven SaaS sales experience. In this role you will drive deal strategy and execution alongside our passionate and friendly sales team who are focused on targeting and closing new business and expanding services to our existing brand partners. As part of this elite SaaS business unit, you will actively collaborate with team members in customer success, product, engineering, and marketing departments with all the impact you would have in a rapidly growing software start-up, but under the wing of an established enterprise. 


You will collaborate with our sales and other teams to sell PXM, a technology that helps product brands list and sell products on Amazon and other global marketplaces by organizing, converting, enhancing, and distributing product data and media. Additionally, you will sell Creators, which enables brands to leverage social commerce by managing influencer programs, tracking attribution, streamlining payments, and ensuring content aligns with brand standards. As a Sales Engineer, you'll showcase how our platform supports scalable affiliate and influencer marketing, helping brands maximize ROI from influencer campaigns while maintaining strong social partnerships.


The Sales Engineer should have strong technical aptitude and excel at building relationships through engaging, confident, and strategic storytelling. Our team is passionate, thought-leading, and always ready to tackle challenges. This full-time role is based in Lehi, UT, with a flexible hybrid schedule.



What is a day in the life of the Sales Engineer?
  • The Sales Engineer supports the sales team in: 
  • Acquiring new customers through identifying pain points and demonstrating solutions that will solve those pains and provide immense value to brands.
  • Building sample solutions on our platform to help prospects see compelling business cases and set the right expectations we can deliver on.
  • Being the subject matter expert on DAM / PIM / PXM / Creators capabilities such that Account Executives always want you on calls to drive confidence in our expertise.
  • Demonstrate Pattern’s ability to grow their brand & business.
  • Supporting an ultra-smooth transition for brands from lead, to prospect, to customer, to evangelists.
  • Study and set the stage for expansion growth across other Pattern solutions.
  • Proactively coordinate with various stakeholders to prioritize projects .
  • Present business cases in the most professional way to potential accounts (VPs, CEOs, other executive teams, look the part, sound like the part, demonstrate our tech at the highest levels).
  • Serve as an expert voice and thought leader - speak on various marketing events, podcasts, webinars and at our own Accelerate conference covering all things digital content in support of eCommerce.
  • Provide clear communication regarding our AI solutions and demonstrate the benefits well beyond the competition.


What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • 3-5 years experience in SaaS solutions (preferably with experience in AI, media, eCommerce, martech, or related fields).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role selling SaaS solutions in an enterprise B2B environment.
  • Understands key success metrics and value drivers for a brand operating in an eCommerce environment.
  • Translate data into insights and effectively communicate them with senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical - experienced with Excel/Google Sheets and building data sets for import into our systems, and financial presentations to communicate value with executives.
  • ​​Communicates in a clear, concise manner and can tailor messaging to the audience (e.g. exec level vs. mid-level mgmt level).
  • Prioritizes daily activities to ensure materials are prepped for highest priority potential accounts and reps are prepped with insights.
  • Understands the context and pain points of various accounts to tailor messaging, decks, etc. to meet those needs.
  • Works efficiently cross-functionally; builds relationships and leverages expertise of various departments to build better business cases and/or reinforce Pattern capabilities.
  • Has a solid grasp on industry stats, proof points and process qualitative/quantitative data to create value for potential partners and stays up-to-speed on industry trends and our new capabilities to drive value for brands.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?
  • Our onboarding process should ensure that within 30 days, employees gain product knowledge and understand our value proposition; by 60 days, they should handle calls proficiently; and by 90 days, they should manage deals and understand customer personas. We need to enhance this process significantly.


What is the team like?
  • You will collaborate regularly with members of the Amplifi and Pattern team to implement solutions. You will report directly to the Amplifi.io business unit president. You will work with the Amplifi.io sales director and team (5) to close deals. You will work closely with Pattern’s VP of sales and their sales and sales-engineering team (30). You will be trained by the Amplifi.io director of product who is also currently doing the demos and sales-engineering activities. You will work with the partnership sales director on inside/partner deals. When transitioning brands onboard you will work with the Amplifi.io head of customer success/professional services other CS leaders.
