Senior Finance Manager, People & Places and Corp Dev FP&A

Okta is in profitable growth mode. We are seeking an experienced, motivated Senior Finance Manager who will be a key player in, and is truly excited about, driving and effectively scaling Okta's growth. This role will report into the Finance Director - G&A and International FP&A, and is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that is operating at an accelerated pace and scaling for the future.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail without losing the big picture, and the ability to work both cross functionally and independently. This person is comfortable operating at all levels. They are highly organized, and are truly excited about financial analysis and insights.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Be the key FP&A partner to the Chief People Officer and EVP of Corporate Development
  • Directly manage the People and Places financial analyst
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes for People & Places and Corporate Development functions, including: 
    • Partnering with business on strategic initiatives
    • Optimizing spend portfolios, maintaining 1% forecast accuracy
    • Owning insightful analysis on headcount, spend, and other key drivers and metrics based on operational performance
    • Lead the above for People, Places, Global Benefits, and Corp Dev
    • Evolving these processes as needed
  • Participate in the company’s long-range strategic planning as applicable
  • Manage frequent ad hoc / strategic projects to support senior management and business decisions
  • Opportunity to increase scope with business needs
  • Lead process and systems improvement and scaling projects for your area and broader FP&A, and partner on cross-functional teams, to drive the company’s continued growth and scaling

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Able and willing to come into the San Francisco office as needed, once a week or more
  • 7-10 years of experience in FP&A
  • Strong business acumen and expertise partnering with Senior Leadership
  • Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel/GSheets and PowerPoint/GSlides skills
  • Anaplan and Tableau experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and bring forth new ways of thinking
  • Experience in a global high tech/software/SaaS organization is a plus

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$182,000$272,000 USD
