This executive role leads a globally distributed software engineering organization responsible for developing and delivering cutting-edge web, mobile, and API solutions. The VP will drive innovation through AI-accelerated development practices, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-quality applications that meet customer and business needs. This position collaborates with executive leadership to translate technical initiatives into measurable business value, fosters a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, and guides teams in implementing modern development practices. The role also involves overseeing AI-driven product capabilities, mobile application innovation, and engagement with customers and partners. • Accountabilities:
• Define and execute the software engineering strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead a global engineering organization, mentoring directors, managers, and engineers to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.
• Partner with CTO, Product, and Data teams to align technical execution with business goals and measurable outcomes.
• Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, trunk-based development, progressive delivery, feature flagging, and automated testing.
• Oversee AI-powered development capabilities, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation to enhance software quality and delivery velocity.
• Ensure mobile application development meets high standards for accessibility, security, and user experience.
• Represent software engineering to executive leadership, customers, and partners, translating technical initiatives into business value.
• Mentor staff, manage vendors, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly desirable (Computer Science, Business, or related field).
• Minimum 15 years managing technology operations and customer-facing solutions.
• Minimum 15 years supervising technology management, staff, and vendors.
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare software or related environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale programs using Agile methodologies with measurable performance improvements.
• Strong executive presence, persuasive communication, and customer-focused mindset.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing in-house and outsourced solutions across multiple locations.
• Proven ability to translate vision into actionable strategies, drive process improvement, and foster innovation in dynamic environments.
• Experience in a global matrix organization and managing distributed teams.
