We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Emulation Engineer to lead and optimize hardware emulation strategies for large-scale SoC and ASIC development. In this role, you will define emulation methodologies, implement infrastructure, and streamline debugging processes while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across design, verification, firmware, and software. You will also engage with emulation platform vendors to ensure seamless integration and maximize efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to impact mission-critical data communication technologies in advanced digital systems, providing technical leadership and hands-on support in a collaborative, multi-geographical environment.

Accountabilities

• Emulation Platform Leadership – Drive adoption and optimization of emulation platforms by gathering requirements, architecting infrastructure, and implementing effective debugging strategies.
• Methodology Development – Define and apply emulation methodologies supporting design, verification, validation, firmware, and software bring-up.
• Automation & Workflow Optimization – Develop scripts and automation workflows to improve emulation deployment efficiency and resource utilization.
• Hands-On Support & Training – Provide technical support and training to teams using emulation tools, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve emulation-related issues.
• Documentation & Best Practices – Establish, maintain, and communicate standardized emulation procedures for consistency and scalability.
• Vendor Engagement – Collaborate with external emulation platform providers to optimize performance and integrate key features.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design, verification, or emulation, including 3+ years with hardware emulation platforms.
• Hands-on experience with emulation platforms such as Cadence Palladium, Synopsys ZeBu, or Siemens Veloce.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for hardware/software integration.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, TCL, or shell scripting for automation and workflow optimization.
• Solid understanding of RTL design using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Familiarity with hardware verification methodologies (UVM, RTL simulation) and system validation techniques.
• Experience with SoC or IP device bring-up using emulators or FPGAs.
• Knowledge of peripheral interfaces (JTAG, UART, I2C/I3C, SPI) and system integration.
• Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Strong communication skills and experience documenting processes and training teams.
• Adaptability to work in multi-geographical and cross-cultural environments.

• Competitive base salary: $200,000 – $250,000 annually, based on experience, location, and internal equity.
