Recruiter and HR Specialist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Channel Factory. We are currently looking for a Recruiter | HR Specialist in California (USA), New York.

This hybrid role blends recruitment and HR responsibilities to support a fast-paced, global ad tech company. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and hiring managers to source top talent, manage the full recruitment cycle, and provide HR support across various departments. With a focus on optimizing systems like Deel, you’ll ensure smooth onboarding and compliance for international teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive communicator with strong organizational skills to contribute to the growth and culture of a scaling organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment: from job postings to screening, coordinating interviews, and extending offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and manage talent pipelines across departments such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, HR, and Finance.
  • Source candidates using platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Workable, Indeed, and Glassdoor.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Deel platform, handling onboarding/offboarding, contracts, and time tracking for international employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and HR to ensure contract and documentation compliance.
  • Support broader HR functions, including onboarding logistics, internal recordkeeping, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Liaise with external recruiters and third-party vendors to align hiring goals and maintain recruitment timelines.
  • Attend recruitment strategy sessions and virtual industry events to stay up-to-date with market trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting, HR generalist roles, or talent acquisition, preferably in the tech or ad/marketing industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; skilled in building relationships and handling negotiations.
  • Familiar with HR tools and platforms such as Deel, TriNet, HiBob, Workable, and ATS systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes and employment laws across jurisdictions.
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Knowledge of ad tech, digital marketing, or the advertising industry is a plus.
  • May require occasional travel for in-person meetings and trainings.
