Director of Sales -West (Remote - US)

As Director of Sales, you will lead the strategic growth of an innovative therapy across the western region of the United States. This high-impact role involves managing and developing a team of Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers, building strong partnerships with healthcare providers, and driving adoption of transformative medical technology. You will play a critical part in shaping market expansion, optimizing business performance, and ensuring patient and physician access to advanced treatment options. This role requires a balance of leadership, clinical knowledge, and commercial execution in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities

  • Drive sales strategy in the region to achieve sustainable growth and revenue targets.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers.
  • Cultivate new accounts while expanding business with existing customers.
  • Provide clinical expertise, product presentations, and training to healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and prepare detailed sales reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives in sales, training, marketing, and clinical education.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, conventions, and sales meetings to promote therapy adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting reimbursement processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of sales management, training, or marketing experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Experience working in start-ups or with disruptive technologies strongly preferred.
  • Strong clinical and technical product knowledge with proven ability to present to large groups.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a successful track record in driving team performance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong local relationships within the healthcare community in the western US region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
