Compliance Director (Remote - US)

As Compliance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s global compliance strategy across diverse financial products and business lines. You’ll lead essential components of the Compliance Program and collaborate closely with Product, Legal, Credit, Marketing, and Operations teams to identify, assess, and manage regulatory risks. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned compliance expert with deep knowledge of consumer lending laws and a passion for building scalable, tech-enabled compliance systems. The role is fully remote, with travel expected for biannual company offsites.

Accountabilities:

• Provide expert regulatory compliance guidance across the entire product lifecycle.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate compliance risks.
• Own and enhance components of the company’s enterprise-wide Compliance Program.
• Support change management initiatives by adopting compliance technology solutions.
• Monitor domestic and international regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including bank partners and regulators.
• Serve as a mentor and compliance resource within the organization.

• 10+ years of regulatory compliance and risk experience, ideally in consumer lending.
• Strong expertise in consumer protection regulations (e.g., ECOA, TILA, FCRA, UDAAP, etc.).
• Proven ability to lead across teams, influence stakeholders, and drive compliance culture.
• Skilled in simplifying regulatory concepts for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience leveraging technology to enhance compliance program efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
