Business Development Director

This role is a senior leadership position responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic client relationships, and expanding market opportunities. The Business Development Director identifies and pursues new business prospects while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role combines strategic thinking, sales expertise, and customer-focused leadership to achieve financial growth. It requires a proactive and results-driven approach, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position operates in a hybrid environment with domestic and international travel requirements.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve market position and achieve revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with clients, understanding their objectives and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Independently identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Lead negotiations and close business deals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor sales targets, track performance metrics, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Communicate new product developments and offerings to prospective clients effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects and initiatives.
  • Project a professional image and uphold organizational values in all client interactions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in travel or related fields.
  • 7+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Proven track record of revenue generation, sales strategy development, and client relationship management.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other CRM or sales tools.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity to develop cost-effective client solutions.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, and work flexible hours including weekends.
