Account Director - Agencies (New Business Development)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Director to expand business within the media agency space. This role focuses on developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, driving revenue growth, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize client campaigns. You will build strong, long-term client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure agencies maximize the value of audience data and measurement solutions. The ideal candidate combines consultative sales expertise with a deep understanding of media and digital analytics, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is motivated to achieve ambitious growth targets. Success in this position requires creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to influence clients and internal stakeholders.


  • Accountabilities
  • Prospect, network, and develop new business opportunities with media agencies.
  • Employ a consultative approach to understand client needs and position solutions to solve business challenges.
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities aligned with growth strategy.
  • Negotiate contracts, ensuring high renewal rates and long-term client relationships.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to educate clients on available capabilities and insights.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Achieve sales quotas in line with margin goals and performance expectations.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to inform client strategies and decision-making.

  • Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within media agencies, ad tech, or data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, audience data, measurement solutions, and media buying processes.
  • Established contacts within media and social agencies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing revenue with enterprise clients.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing proposals, sales strategies, and managing pipelines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; BA in Communications, Marketing, or Media is a plus.
