This role provides a high-impact opportunity to shape and lead backend development efforts, delivering scalable and robust solutions that directly affect user experiences and product innovation. You will work on both new and legacy systems, collaborating across teams to design and implement high-quality software solutions. As a senior technical leader, you will influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance system reliability and performance. The position requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment. Occasional travel may be required to collaborate with stakeholders on-site.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and microservice integrations via REST/gRPC APIs.
• Architect, re-architect, and optimize complex systems, balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
• Drive technical initiatives, plan roadmaps, manage project timelines, and mitigate risks.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building engineering team capabilities.
• Ensure code quality, testing standards, and operational reliability of deployed systems.
• Contribute to defining technical direction and strategic decisions across engineering teams.

• 8+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development, with demonstrated IC leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in distributed systems design and trade-off analysis for complex architectures.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with knowledge of multiple languages (e.g., Kotlin, C#).
• Experience managing multiple critical technical initiatives concurrently.
• Strong familiarity with clean architecture principles and various data storage solutions, including relational and document databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
