Sr. Sales Engineer - TOLA

Corelight builds an open network detection and response (NDR) platform based on Zeek, Suricata and YARA to help organizations detect and investigate threats across physical, virtual and cloud networks. We’re seeking a passionate Sr. Sales Engineer (Pre-Sales) to partner with sales, product and customer teams to deliver tailored demos, run Proofs of Value, architect deployments, and drive technical outcomes for enterprise customers across North America.

Skills

  • Deep expertise in network security concepts and tooling (NDR/IDS/IDS/packet analysis).
  • Practical experience with Zeek, Suricata and/or YARA or equivalent network telemetry tooling.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud environments and deployment models (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid architectures.
  • Strong demo and POV execution skills, with ability to customize technical narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and craft technical strategies that map to business outcomes.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and tailored Proof of Value engagements that showcase Corelight capabilities.
  • Architect and design deployment strategies across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to both technical and business stakeholders during the sales cycle.
  • Partner with engineering, product and customer success teams to ensure smooth delivery and incorporate customer feedback.
  • Travel to customer sites (~50%) for in-person engagements, workshops, and solution validation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, CCNP Security) but not required.
