Sr. Sales Engineer - SLED Central

Corelight builds network detection and response solutions based on open-source innovations to help organizations detect, investigate, and hunt threats. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Engineer to support the Federal SLED Central territory — a technically strong, customer-facing presales professional who can design solutions, run proofs-of-concept, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and articulate the business value of Corelight's platform.

Skills

  • Expert written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong networking knowledge including packet capture analysis
  • Deep understanding of information security, incident response, and SOC workflows
  • Experience with network security monitoring, threat hunting, and NDR concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud security integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP traffic mirroring, flow logs)
  • Pentest/red team experience or certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH) preferred
  • Comfort with scripting/automation and virtualization technologies
  • Presales experience supporting complex enterprise or government deals

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject-matter expert for Corelight network detection solutions
  • Develop and deliver technical sales presentations, demos, and solution designs
  • Lead customer proof-of-concepts and pilots to validate technical fit
  • Respond to RFI/RFP technical requirements and craft compelling proposals
  • Act as trusted advisor delivering security guidance and architectural recommendations
  • Design solutions integrating network, endpoint, cloud and SIEM technologies
  • Keep current on security threats, exploit trends, and competitive landscape
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with channel partners
  • Remove technical objections and support the sales team through procurement
  • Document and track engagements and opportunities in Salesforce

Education

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus (CISSP, OSCP, CEH, etc.)
