Skills
- 5+ years in a security professional services or customer-facing security engineering role
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Strong background in cybersecurity and incident response
- Hands-on Zeek log experience and log analysis skills
- SIEM experience, Splunk required; familiarity with Elastic, Humio a plus
- Network administration and strong TCP/IP knowledge
- Windows, macOS and Linux/Unix administration experience
- Scripting experience (Zeek scripts, Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
- Experience integrating with packet brokers, SOARs, asset managers, and other ecosystem tools
- Familiarity with Kafka, Logstash and data pipeline tooling
- Excellent verbal and written communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to scope services engagements and design pragmatic solutions
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with deployment, configuration and onboarding of Corelight products across physical, virtual and cloud environments
- Conduct incident investigations and support threat hunting using network telemetry and Zeek logs
- Educate customers on Zeek log usage and how Zeek interacts with Suricata alerts
- Design and implement technical integrations with ecosystem partners (packet brokers, asset managers, SOAR, etc.)
- Build queries, dashboards and content for SIEMs such as Splunk, Elastic and Humio
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams; influence product and integration priorities
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide feedback and help shape product features
- Work with backend ingestion and streaming tools (Kafka, Logstash) and support data pipelines
- Scope and document services engagements and deliver professional services projects
- Travel to customer sites up to 50% when required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
