Account Executive (North Central)

GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, privately-held cybersecurity firm providing advisory, integration and managed services to enterprise and government customers. The Account Executive (North Central) will drive new business and expand existing accounts across the Minneapolis region using a consultative sales approach, managing relationships from technical stakeholders to C-level executives and coordinating vendor and internal resources to deliver security solutions.

Skills

  • Proven outside enterprise sales experience in IT/cybersecurity
  • Strong consultative selling and executive-level presentation skills
  • Experience using Salesforce (CRM) for pipeline and forecast management
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and generating new business
  • Established relationships with key accounts in the territory
  • Ability to articulate vendor technologies and translate technical value to business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales and profitability targets for the assigned territory
  • Prospect, cold call and network to open new accounts and generate pipeline across multiple contacts including C-level
  • Position, configure and quote vendor products and GuidePoint services; prepare and present proposals
  • Manage leads, opportunities and forecasts in Salesforce and maintain accurate CRM records
  • Collaborate with vendor partners to understand technologies and craft value-based positioning
  • Deliver presentations and solutions briefings to executive and technical audiences
  • Participate in industry organizations and field marketing to build visibility and generate leads
  • Coordinate internal resources and maintain client communications through the full sales lifecycle
  • Travel regionally as required to meet clients and attend events

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Vendor-related security certifications strongly preferred (e.g., vendor certs, CISSP, etc.)
