Public Sector Strategic Account Executive - Intelligence Community

GitLab is a public open-core software company delivering an AI-powered DevSecOps platform used by organizations worldwide. We are hiring a Strategic Account Executive to own and grow relationships within the U.S. Intelligence Community, aligning GitLab’s platform to agency modernization initiatives and driving multi-year technology roadmaps with CIOs and technical leaders.

Skills

  • Proven experience selling into the U.S. Intelligence Community and working with federal agencies
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement vehicles, compliance, and agency buying cycles
  • Strong consultative sales approach positioning technology as a mission enabler
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and build consensus across technical and executive buyers
  • Experience working with system integrators and channel partners in GovCon deals
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to agency modernization and mission needs
  • Serve as primary GitLab contact for Intelligence Community prospects and customers
  • Navigate complex procurement cycles and develop multi-year technology roadmaps with CIOs and technical leads
  • Collaborate with system integrators and channel partners to craft and close solution-led deals
  • Provide account leadership across pre- and post-sales, coordinating engineering and support resources
  • Drive prospecting, pipeline generation, and quota attainment within assigned book of business
  • Ensure successful product rollout, adoption, and customer advocacy; collect customer feedback for product teams
  • Travel locally as needed for onsite meetings and relationship development

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Relevant government, technical, or business certifications a plus
