Responsibilities
- Design and implement workcell robotics and mechanical systems for automation in life science and physical science applications.
- Create pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and optical solutions for research workcells.
- Perform CAD design and analysis using SolidWorks; apply GD&T and DFMA principles.
- Develop and validate prototypes using 3D printing, laser scribing, and other rapid prototyping methods.
- Collaborate with software, controls, and experimental teams to integrate mechanical designs.
- Transition manual lab processes to automated workflows while ensuring safety and quality.
- Coordinate with external vendors for custom component fabrication and system integration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
