- Board-level analog and digital circuit design and PCB bring-up
- Proficiency with embedded interfaces: USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, CAN, memory and microprocessors
- Hands-on debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers
- Experience with DFM/DFT/DFA and working with contract manufacturers
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and certifications (FCC, UL, CE, ISO)
- Signal integrity, power management, and EMI/ESD mitigation expertise
- Familiarity with Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD tools
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and development for NPI and sustaining projects across instrumentation platforms
- Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and transition to contract manufacturing
- Perform root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement for production and field issues
- Define system and subsystem electrical architectures to meet performance, cost, and regulatory needs
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, microfluidics, and quality teams on cross-disciplinary challenges
- Conduct board-level analog/digital design, schematic capture, and PCB layout reviews (Altium preferred)
- Apply signal integrity, grounding, power management, EMI/ESD mitigation best practices
- Lead and support design verification, validation, compliance (FCC, CE, UL, CSA), and reliability testing
- Coordinate with external partners and contract manufacturers on design, test strategies, and manufacturing processes
- Run design reviews, FMEA/risk assessments, and maintain design documentation per design control processes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
