Position Summary

CVS is recruiting for a Director Store Brands Consumer Experience. This leader will be responsible for leading a dynamic team in the collection, analysis, and application of product-driven consumer feedback to drive strategic business decisions and deliver outstanding experiences for our owned brands.

The Director is a key leadership position driving the consumer experience strategy ensuring we consistently meet or exceed our portfolio brand promise. This role reports to the Executive Director of Business Growth and works closely with other Directors and Executive Directors within the organization. You will be responsible for creating new approaches to improve consumer product interactions and ensure a seamless experience across all touchpoints including new product validation, existing portfolio enhancements and technology advancement for increased visibility to product attributes and performance. You will be responsible for achieving targets for customer satisfaction, retention, and engagement, and accountable to the broader business goals of sales, margin, and differentiation that will drive increased value for our customers.

Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and third-party relationships for the Automated Vending kiosk experience and deployment.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer experience or similar experience, ideally in retail, CPG, or healthcare organizations with analytical, consumer engagement, or customer service experience.
  • 10+ years’ proven track record of influencing others with and without authority.
  • 10+ years’ experience building high-performing, successful teams developing key talent. Demonstrated passion for bringing new leaders along and helping them realize their ability to impact the business.
  • 10+ years’ experience actively taking on issues in a decisive manner, while keeping broader department dynamics in mind and empowering your leaders to obtain results through building behaviors.
  • 10+ years’ experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics in real time, and finding solutions that satisfy multiple ‘customers’ of the business.
  • 10+ years’ experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
  • 10+ years’ experience effectively demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • 10+ years’ experience collaborating effectively across different business functions, different perspectives, and different styles of leadership.
  • 10+ years’ experience demonstrated ability to lead a large team and manage a multi-million-dollar business unit to achieve financial and business results.
  • Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Strong strategic and analytics skills with demonstrated ability to turn into actionable strategic frameworks and operational plans.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact.
  • Strong leadership skills with shown ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of consumer experience, customer service, and product development strategies.
  • Strong communication skills; capable of influencing and driving collaboration at all levels within the organization, as well as externally in business development and consumer engagement.
  • Structured problem-solving skills with the ability to create order out of ambiguity.
  • Any additional tasks as required by the supervisor or manager.
  • Track record of high performance.
  • Experience working in a self-directed manner, requiring minimal leadership oversight.


Education Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience required Master’s degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
