Mid Market Account Executive

Contentful is a leading digital experience platform helping companies deliver personalized content at scale. The Mid Market Account Executive will drive revenue across North America by managing the full sales cycle, growing new logo and expansion business, and partnering with Customer Success and technical teams to deliver value-based solutions.

Skills

  • B2B SaaS sales with quota-carrying experience
  • Proven ability to close complex technical software deals
  • Experience selling $100K+ transactions and engaging VP/C-level stakeholders
  • Strong prospecting and pipeline-generation skills
  • Comfortable discussing APIs and technical integrations with developers
  • Experience managing RFIs/RFQs and negotiating contracts
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales Engineers, Partnerships, and Customer Success

Responsibilities

  • Position, negotiate, and close new logo and expansion business ($50K–$500K ACV) in North America
  • Develop account strategy and pipeline to meet quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Prospect, research, qualify leads and generate new business as part of a PLG motion
  • Manage RFI/RFQ processes and collaborate with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects
  • Refine and execute a land-and-expand model with Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success
  • Present to technical and business stakeholders, create proposals, and negotiate contracts
  • Track sales activity, maintain reports, and build market and competitor knowledge
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Marketing to ensure customer onboarding and adoption

Education

  • College degree (BA/BS) required
