  • Prepare for and follow through on meetings with key external partners.
  • Draft and send executive communications (both internally and externally) on behalf of the CoS and CEO, including business strategy proposals for external partners.
  • Serve as a representative for the CEO internally for cross-departmental activities.

Advisory & Analysis

  • Provide high-level advice and recommendations to the CoS on a wide variety of programs, issues, and initiatives that require attention or decision.
  • Review and analyze proposals, inquiries, recommendations, and other communications forwarded to the CoS.
  • When delegated, respond on behalf of the CoS and the Office of the CEO.
  • Synthesize and summarize proposals, inquiries, recommendations, and other potential opportunities presented to the CEO for review.

Event Programming & Partnership Support

  • Provide programming and executive communications support in planning Common Sense Media-sponsored events.
  • Support speaking appearances for the CEO and campaign partnerships.
  • Assist with research, development, and organization of Common Sense Media programs and projects as assigned by the CoS.

Documentation & Research

  • Prepare a variety of briefings, reports, information papers, decision papers, and other materials in support of the entire Office of the CEO.
  • Seek out information from a variety of internal and external sources, identify potential issues, collect applicable reference materials, and make appropriate contacts to secure information needed for action and/or decision by the CoS.

Stakeholder Relations

  • When delegated, partner with leadership and key staff across other organizational departments.
  • Serve as a point of contact and/or gatekeeper when needed between top management and other stakeholders.
  • Be a trusted partner to the CoS, demonstrating high levels of discretion when handling confidential information and good instincts to find solutions to problems as they arise.
