Skills
- Strong networking fundamentals (OSI 1-7, routing, TCP/UDP)
- Deep experience with DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), and TLS/SSL
- Familiarity with SASE concepts and related tech: SWG, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN
- Experience with on-prem infrastructure, legacy networking, and hybrid cloud architectures
- Comfort with command-line tools, REST APIs, and HTTP inspection
- Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and manage customer relationships
Responsibilities
- Drive technical discovery, qualification, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept work for federal prospects and customers.
- Serve as technical lead for assigned accounts, advising on architecture, best practices, and long-term strategy.
- Design and present Cloudflare-based solutions that integrate on-premises networking and public cloud environments.
- Support onboarding, training, and documentation for new customers via video-conference and in-person engagements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to advocate for customer needs.
- Travel to customer sites, industry events, and team meetings (roughly 35–45%).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
- Equivalent professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
