Senior Solutions Engineer - Mid-Market
Skills
- Proven scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, or Go)
- Deep knowledge of internet protocols and networking (OSI layers, BGP, TCP/UDP, GRE)
- Expertise with DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and SASE concepts
- Experience analyzing logs and crafting firewall rules and security policies
- Comfort with command-line tools, RESTful APIs, and browser web inspectors
- Strong presentation skills for technical audiences and executives
- Project management and account advisory experience
Responsibilities
- Drive technical discovery, lead demonstrations, and design solutions that match prospect requirements during the sales cycle.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to deliver and operationalize proofs-of-concept and customer implementations.
- Advise existing accounts on best practices, feature adoption, and strategic guidance for web/mobile security and performance.
- Develop firewall rules, caching/delivery strategies, and automation or scripts to solve customer-specific challenges.
- Create documentation, lead trainings and onboard customers remotely or in-person to ensure successful adoption.
- Travel 20-30% for customer meetings, conferences, and cross-functional collaboration.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
