About Us:

Chelsea Hospitality Group (CHG) is a family-owned hospitality company based in New Jersey, dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences. CHG’s latest project in Morristown, NJ involves managing multiple food and beverage outlets within a sustainably built, mixed-use property. These outlets include a ground-floor restaurant, conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts.

Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented, operational role responsible for unifying daily floor operations. Manages scheduling, enforces SOPs, tracks equipment, and ensures consistent communication and service across the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and oversee BEOs, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Oversee smooth opening/closing of spaces; conduct regular floor walks
  • Ensure pantries are fully stocked, tidy, and maintained
  • Maintain logs for coffee machines, Vivreau systems, pantry equipment, linens, risers, and props
  • Monitor Relays/radios for consistent team communication (catering clear times, pantry needs, escalations)
  • Observe new hires in service, provide immediate coaching, and flag development needs
  • Enforce pantry standards, catering checklists, equipment logs, and closing routines
  • Audit pantries, catering setups, and event spaces against SOPs; correct in real time
  • Suggest and update SOPs as operations evolve
  • Engage with guests during high-traffic times to elevate service and guest experience
  • Ensure accurate and timely staff breaks, maintain labor compliance

Direct Supervision:

  • Yes. This role will directly supervise 18 employees including hospitality leads and catering attendants on a daily basis, providing oversight on scheduling, breaks, SOP compliance, and service quality.

% of Time by Duty:

  • Scheduling, assigning BEOs, managing attendance/time clocks – 20%
  • Enforcing SOPs, auditing pantries/setups, updating procedures – 20%
  • Equipment and routine maintenance checks (coffee machines, Vivreau) – 10%
  • Floor management: opening/closing, walking floors, guest interaction – 20%
  • Team communication flow (Relays/radios, escalations, catering clear times, adjusting based on absences/schedule changes) – 10%
  • Training follow-up and coaching of new hires – 10%
  • Labor compliance & break management – 10%

What We Need From You:

  • 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage management, or workplace operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills; experience managing hourly staff.
  • Knowledge of equipment and inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage directly with guests/staff and resolve escalations.
  • Comfortable using scheduling and timekeeping systems.
  • Consistently upbeat attitude.
