Skills: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, over 5 years of educational sales experience, strong communication skills, proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), and a deep understanding of higher education financial processes.
Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have experience in executive-level sales of learning technology products and a proven ability to influence institutional financial managers.
Location: This is a fully remote position based in the USA, with some travel (35-50%) expected within the assigned territory.
Compensation: $77100 - $100200 / Annually

As a key member of the Cengage Learning Higher Ed Institutional Sales Group, the Business Development Director (BDD) will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of enterprise products and services across a diverse range of institutional accounts, including Higher Education/Non-Profit, Career/For-Profit Institutions, and our Professional sales team. Adopting a growth mindset, the BDD will closely collaborate with various internal partners, such as District Managers, Strategic Account Managers, Sales Growth Specialists, and Account Executives, to proactively address the evolving needs of each Institutional customer and unlock new opportunities for expansion and success.
35-50% travel expected throughout assigned territory
