The Software Solutions Advisor at CDW will act as an expert licensing advisor, partnering with other sales team members to drive software solutions, meet revenue goals, and provide exceptional customer support.
Responsibilities: Manage individual and team sales goals, assist with contract management, identify upsell opportunities, and educate sales teams on software solutions.
Skills: Excellent communication, licensing negotiation, and customer-facing skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years in sales and experience in Microsoft Licensing.
Location: This position is based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States, with potential travel up to 25%.

The Software Solution Advisor is an expert licensing advisor who partners with a Software Solutions Executive to provide sales support for Account Managers, Field Account Executives and clients.
What you will do:
• Manage and achieve all individual and team revenue and gross profit sales goals for the assigned segment.
•Participate in all steps of the CDW Contract Management methodology.
• Assist in identifying and driving up-sell as well as additional product opportunities.
• Participate in proactive campaigns focused on driving customers to new offers.
• Partner with software sales and solutions coworkers to add value to mutual customers and capture a greater share of software purchases.
• Respond to email or phone inquiries from Account Managers and Field Account Executives. • Participate in conference calls with customers to explain and help determine the best acquisition method for their needs, including multi-program cost analysis comparisons.
• Prepare Partner contracts for customer signature and understand the specifics of the contractual requirements.
• Become a subject matter expert for all Partner Software Acquisition agreements. • Provide guidance to sales on quotes and opportunity pricing.
• Research End User License and program questions for customers and CDW sales Develop relationships with Partner sales teams in assigned segment.
• Educate the CDW/CDWG sales teams to promote Software Solutions sales in the region by teaching product acquisition program knowledge, services offerings, leveraging funding programs and how to provide up-sell opportunities.
• Achieve all required Partner certifications deemed appropriate for the SSA role.
• The Software Solutions Advisor – Microsoft will have the responsibility to lead the following tasks in the various Microsoft programs. The SSA will need to maintain expertise in all product acquisition programs and technologies available to customers. The SSA will also carry responsibilities in additional activities related to the CDW and Microsoft partnership. The following list encompasses example activities for all product acquisition programs and activities required in the SSA role. Partner with field software sales representatives as appropriate.

What we expect of you:
• High School Diploma
• Two years of sales experience
• Minimum of one year experience for existing CDW/CDWG Account Managers, Partner Specialists, or Licensing Help Desk coworkers
• Excellent communication skills with customers, Account Managers and Microsoft organization • Outstanding licensing, negotiation and closing skills
• Proven customer facing ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Demonstrated history of successfully coordinating complex projects, with multiple facets and stakeholders
• Applicant should demonstrate solid attention to detail with a penchant for accuracy
• Proven ability to proactively collaboration and build relationships, take initiative, and creatively problem solve
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed to other CDW locations, meetings and client sites
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience a plus
• 2 years minimum sales experience in Microsoft Licensing and contractual software licensing a plus
• Proven ability to exceed sales quotas on a regular basis a plus
Pay range: $ 45,000- $ 65,000, depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of $30,000 subject to terms and conditions of plan
