Strategic Account Manager, IDN/Hospital, East Area

Braeburn is a patient-focused specialty pharmaceutical company committed to transforming care for people with opioid use disorder (OUD). The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will own relationships with National Accounts, Telehealth providers, Hospital Systems, and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) in the East area to drive adoption, optimize patient access, execute contracting strategies, and deliver measurable account performance.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of contracting, pricing, and reimbursement for specialty pharmaceuticals.
  • Deep understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and Buy & Bill distribution models.
  • Proven account management and business development skills in specialty/biotech markets.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and apply insights to territory strategy.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High ethical standards and compliance-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned National Accounts, Telehealth providers, Hospital Systems, and IDNs.
  • Serve as primary relationship owner, building trusted partnerships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase adoption and utilization of Braeburn products.
  • Collaborate with contracting and market access teams to negotiate and implement agreements.
  • Monitor account KPIs and conduct quarterly business reviews to assess performance and adjust strategy.
  • Leverage analytics and market insights to inform account decisions and communicate results to leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Market Access, Marketing, Sales Ops, Medical Affairs, and Regional teams.
  • Manage budgets and expenses within company guidelines and comply with corporate policies and REMS requirements.
  • Travel nationally (up to 50–60%) to engage accounts and support implementation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required
  • Advanced degree (MS, PharmD, MBA) preferred
