The Boeing CompanyBoeing’s Defense, Space and Security Division (BDS) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Human Resources Senior Manager to lead their team supporting the Space Mission Systems (SMS) organization in El Segundo, CA.
This position will manage a team of Human Resource Generalists deploying HR processes, policies and procedures and other activities to support, counsel and educate managers and employees on HR issues. This role will also partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR leadership to the team in support of strategy and business objectives. Critical thinking and having an innovative approach to solve problems will be an imperative part of daily management.
Position Responsibilities:
Support development and execution of projects and process plans
Serve as a key leadership team member as an HR knowledge expert, consultant and strategic advisor
Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior executive leadership across the business and HR
Shape and influence the business vision, mission, priorities and long-range plans
Support workforce strategies including long-range business plans, staffing strategies, high-level skill/talent discussions, key programs, resource deployment, etc.
Partner with the CoEs (Communities of Excellence) and local HR teams to ensure understanding and alignment of talent strategy and to ensure planning, execution and realization are achieved through solutions, programs and policies and support the CoE strategies
Collaborate with HR peers (both in the businesses and functions) to enable the organization’s HR/business strategies, and ensure the efficient delivery of HR products, tools and services
Lead as a strategic advisor and change agent in the rollout of HR policies, processes or programs that support the business and overall strategies for the company
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
5+ years of experience in Human Resources
5 years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders
5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes
3+ years of experience leading change management and process improvement activities at a business unit or enterprise level
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Active US Security Clearance
3+ years of HR experience working in aerospace or defense
Experience managing and successfully leading HR strategy and process development and implementation across matrixes teams (and/or through geographically dispersed direct reports)
Experience designing and implementing innovative solutions within a collaborative environment
Experience attracting, managing, and developing a high performing team
Experience driving transformation and organization design
Experience embracing problem solving with an innovative mindset and drive continuous improvement
