Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department
- Process employment applications and maintain tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews and pre-employment testing
- Update Applicant Tracking System with new hires; off-board terminated employees
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Maintain weekly manpower schedule; Update Kronos with shift changes (audit records)
- Assist and motivate with the completion of compliance courses
- STAR team leader – handles the ordering of prizes and awards
- Administer HRIS system changes
- Assist with employee benefit issues
- Assist on various HR special projects; participate on a team
- Maintain employee files
- Assist with walk-in questions
- Participate in Plant and departmental Quality meetings
- Serve as backup to HR Generalist and HR Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required. Previous experience using HRIS software is preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Working knowledge of labor laws and requirements preferred
- Ability to work with confidential information
