HR Manager / HR Assistant - Clinical Laboratory (Healthcare)

Job Description:


The HR Manager/Assistant will handle ground-level HR operations, supporting leadership by managing day-to-day employee interactions and administrative HR functions. This role ensures compliance, efficiency, and timely delivery of employee services, enabling leadership to focus on high-level strategy.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee paperwork, onboarding, and records.
  • Handle employee queries and provide required documentation.
  • Conduct I-9 verifications (California-specific knowledge preferred, training possible).
  • Coordinate payroll follow-ups and HR compliance tasks.
  • Maintain employee engagement and communication.
  • Support HR-related reporting and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with HR projects and strategy execution.


Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 4+ years’ HR administration or HR generalist experience.
  • Familiarity with California employment processes and compliance (preferred).
  • Experience working in a HIPAA-compliant environment (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion with confidential employee data.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-moving workplac
