Skills
- Proficiency with Altium Designer (Allegro a plus)
- Deep knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, design rules, and IPC standards
- Experience with HDI, high layer-count (>16), and thicker boards (>1.6mm)
- Experience with FPGA fanout and high-pin-count packages
- High-speed digital layout experience (USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, DDR)
- RF board design experience and familiarity with controlled impedance routing
- Component library development and library management
- Ability to read/interpret schematics and prioritize work from broad direction
- Strong communication with fabrication and assembly houses
Responsibilities
- Design complex multilayer PCBs supporting high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and power systems
- Apply and enforce modern IPC standards, DFM, and DFA guidelines to ensure manufacturability and reliability
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, product managers, and external fabs/assembly houses to integrate designs into products
- Develop and maintain component libraries, database standards, and PCB design processes
- Coordinate and manage external design resources during design surges
- Lead process improvements, documentation, and internal design guidelines
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
