What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Product Development Design Engineer I and can expect to be involved in the following:
Modifying existing primary structure on Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
Document designs on engineering drawings and coordinate with support organizations.
Typical tools used by our Graduates are: CATIA V5, VPM, and various PLM tools
In the first few months you will learn: Airbus CATIA modelling techniques, configuration management concepts, drawing methodologies, and data release processes
You will learn the concepts of structural design and how to apply the concepts.
Overseas placements are determined on either project need basis or employee development need. US based rotational placements will center on Airbus Americas Engineering locations.
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Product Development Design Engineer I!
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:
A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials. (0 - 3 years experience)
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship
