Amazon teams are looking for a Senior Tech Business Developer with deep technology experience. They must have equal comfort and experience working with C-level executives and internal product and engineering teams. They will be responsible for acquiring net new customers and delivering technology solutions to those customers.
Amazon is looking for a Senior Tech Business Developer with a strong delivery record with senior leadership experience, hunting enterprise customers, owning and executing business technology deals at national and global scale.
This role requires working with business teams across the company bringing the voice of the customer to our product and engineering teams, understanding and communicating critical business needs and how those translate into solutions that unlock scale. The individual must have experience building and negotiating complex technology contracts, partnering with finance and legal teams to structure long-term commitments and being the single threaded owner for customers adopting technology solutions. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on status, risks and sales pipeline.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it's in line with the business strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).
- Identify and engage key partners including retailers, ISVs and system integrators.
- Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners at the executive level.
- Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.
- Understand the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.
- Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the retail industry.
- Manage complex contract and financial negotiations and liaison with the legal and finance groups
- Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of emerging and nascent technologies.

- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 6+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience negotiating software and services agreements
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- MBA
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $147,900/year up to $200,100/year. The National base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
