POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires a person who enjoys performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere. They must be a quick learner and have the confidence and ability to deal with people in an effective and professional manner. One of the main responsibilities of the Dispatcher will be to manage phone-to-radio communications between the lift crews, lift supervisors and lift maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist guests and co-workers in a positive, helpful, and courteous manner
Manage the Lift Dispatch program and documentation, including monitoring radios, phones, and ignition
Update web information related to grooming and open lifts / trails. Work with snow reporting team to compile, record, and send snow and grooming reports
Assist with managing our guest research program and responding to comments pertaining to lift operations
Assist with recording and updating operational documentation including, operational matrix, lift phone directory / lift, locker room book
Assist with hiring and onboarding for the lift operations department
Assist with employee timekeeping correcting and recording missed punches
Assist with department / employee communication, through email, Field Guider, bulletin boards, and digital displays
Manage Lift Operations / employee record keeping, scan and shred documents, protect confidential / sensitive information
Aware if Resort activities and events
Complete administrative tasks including compiling notes from meetings, conveying messages, issuing day passes for vendors, contact vendors for office machine repairs, make office signs and banners, office supply management and inventory
Assist with coverage at the lifts and ticket checking support as needed
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Outgoing personality and ability to deal well with people
Can work independently with minimum supervision
Detail oriented and generate accurate work
High level of organizational skills, prioritize and recognize urgent situations
Computer experience, proficient typing familiar with Microsoft office products
Previous clerical or lift experience beneficial, but not required
2 years of previous work history/education required
Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs.
Ability to ski / snowboard, helpful
Must sit for long periods of time
Must negotiate stairs and occasionally carry boxes of supplies
Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate clearly in the English Language
