Job Description
The Senior Regional Manager will work in person in our new Washington D.C. offices. The Regional Manager plays a critical role in supporting strategic regional initiatives that align with institutional goals and priorities. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate regional data, overseeing cross-functional projects, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, community engagement, and brand visibility.
The role involves developing hyper-local strategies, supporting alumni and workforce partnerships, and expanding WGU’s reach through advocacy, strategic relationships, and public engagement. This individual will represent the university in the community, drive stakeholder collaboration, and contribute to initiatives that increase educational impact and brand awareness.
Operational Support
Maintain and manage accurate regional data to support effective reporting and strategic decision-making.
Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery within the region.
Ensure alignment between regional strategies and the broader goals of WGU, Academy, and Craft Education.
Serve as the primary owner of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution and measurable impact.
Coordinate with schools and internal support teams to drive regional outcomes.
Team Collaboration
Partner with the Regional Vice President and leadership team to cultivate a positive and high-performing team culture.
Lead and contribute to cross-functional project teams focused on alumni engagement and community impact.

Relationship Building
Develop and sustain partnerships with local organizations, chambers, associations, and workforce entities.
Collaborate with leadership to support grant opportunities and workforce initiatives at the state and regional levels.
Strengthen relationships that contribute to student success, alumni engagement, and employer value.
Community Engagement
Actively participate in community events and initiatives to strengthen WGU’s presence and impact.
Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to align educational offerings with regional workforce needs.
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated success in business development, partnership management, or a related field.
Proven track record of driving operational success and achieving consistent year-over-year growth in a business or educational environment.
Established network of enterprise, community, and government partnerships with the ability to leverage relationships to support institutional goals.
