POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a high impact, hands-on Technical Product Manager for one of our subsidiaries within the enterprise asset management space focused on manufacturing and industrials. This role requires technical expertise, product vision, and industry knowledge to shape solutions that deliver measurable customer value. As it is a technical product role, you will lead a R&D team to evaluate trade-offs, dive into APIs and data models, and even prototype and script solutions. You will set the tone for the R&D department and have the opportunity to generate direct value in line with the company as it grows. 

This is a fully remote position across Canada and the U.S., with the option for candidate to be hybrid / in-office out of Toronto or Montreal if preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own end-to-end modernization of the existing application 
• Define future product vision & roadmap in partnership with the Managing Director 
• Talk to customers often — gather insights, run discovery, and translate pain points into product opportunities. 
• Lead R&D to evaluate technical approaches, understand trade-offs, and ensure scalability. 
• Develop prototypes, write clear specs, and build user stories that balance customer needs with technical realities. 
• Be hands-on: manage the backlog, test features, analyze data, and write frontend/backend queries and scripts. 
• Set lightweight processes for prioritization, discovery, and release cycles. 
• Define and track success metrics (KPIs) to measure impact. 
• Act as a bridge between customers, the business, and R&D, translating technical detail into customer value. 

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years experience in engineering/development, product management, or a technical founder role. 
• Technical foundation — You understand the fundamentals of computer science and have experience architecting and building complex applications. 
• Product credibility — Proven ability to ship products end-to-end from ideation to delivery in a startup or fast-moving environment. 
• Customer first principles — Strong customer empathy and communication skills, you are as comfortable in a user interview as in a technical deep-dive. 
• Entrepreneurial "Army of One" mindset: Looking for an individual who is scrappy, adaptable, and a self-starter who can thrive leading independently and is excited to build from zero.  
• Data-driven: Experience with SQL, analytics tools, and experimentation. 
• Technical versatility:  
• Familiarity with generative AI development tools and developer platforms alongside modern deployment methodologies including cloud and CI/CD  
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
