The Opportunity
This is an awesome opportunity for someone who wants to put their sports background to work. You will work closely with event organizers, players and our internal team to deliver the highest quality tournaments. If you are looking for an opportunity to combine your passion for sports, preferably tennis, with event management skills, this may be the perfect job for you. What You Will Do
● Responsible for in-venue operations during UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) events including liaison with the tournament director, venue staff, referee, chair umpires, and players.
● Interact with organizers for PTT to ensure compliance with rules and regulations and automate processes.
● Coordinate between the UTR Sports team and tournament organizers to update daily tasks such as results, order of play, draws, scheduling, etc.
● Responsible for the creation of event registration boards in monday.com for PTT
● Back-end management of UTR Pro Tennis Tour entries, withdrawals, fines, etc.
● Monitor communication channels between all parties throughout events
● Support players with correspondence to questions through email, in-app messaging, and other communication channels
● Conduct and analyze post-event metrics and surveys
● Assist in the coordination and communication of travel-related housing staff, officials, etc. on the PTT
● Travel to be onsite at tournaments up to 25% of the time
● Work experience in sporting events in an operational and organizational capacity, with a preference for tennis ops experience.
● Willingness to become or be a previously certified tennis official
● Experience interacting with other stakeholders in a tournament setting including referees, players, technology, and volunteers.
● History of draws, scheduling, court bookings, and other items needed for tournament management
● Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders like Product Management and marketing, and experience working with company executives.
● Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
● A self-starter and an “extreme ownership” mindset to deliver quality and customer service at all
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (essential), with additional language proficiency being highly desirable. A strong desire to excel at a world-class level
Salary
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60,000 to $70,000. The final base salary for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.
