Sales Development Representative - Education

Position Overview:

Remote position with occasional travel (up to 20%)

Founded in 1972, Elenco Electronics LLC is a leading award-winning provider of innovative educational and hobby electronic products for customers of all ages. Over the years, Elenco has inspired generations of learners by offering unique, hands-on learning experiences that engage students through STEM-focused activities.

Elenco is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Sales Development Representative to join our Education Division. This newly created, full-time role will focus on growing our presence in Education across various sectors including Distributors, Resellers, Non-Profit Foundations, and direct K-12 sales. The ideal candidate is a team player with a background in STEM Education sales or teaching, excellent communication skills, and a desire to make an impact. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this newly created position will be remote based. Compensation will range from $70k - $90k annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, retirement and PTO.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory while adhering to budget guidelines
  • Strengthen partnerships and expand our distributor, reseller, and non-profit foundation business
  • Drive new business development by acquiring new K-12 school and district accounts
  • Execute outbound sales efforts, including prospecting and lead follow-up
  • Serve as a trusted STEM advisor to schools and educators, positioning Elenco’s product offerings to meet educational needs including training
  • Build strong relationships with school and district-level decision-makers through a consultative sales approach
  • Partner with the Elenco Marketing team to provide strategic input on innovation, digital initiatives, and training opportunities
  • Represent Elenco at trade shows, educator conferences, and training events (as needed)
  • Maintain accurate CRM records using NetSuite, including account details, activities, and opportunities
  • Complete administrative tasks such as quotes, account setup, and pricing communications for education accounts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience selling or teaching STEM products across various Education sectors
  • Results-oriented with a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Familiarity with educational standards and curriculum frameworks is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with school personnel and key stakeholders
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed targets
  • Confident and professional communicator with school administrators and education leaders
  • Excellent time management, organization, and project coordination skills
  • Highly collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficient with NetSuite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, etc.)
