POSITION OVERVIEW
TransGrid Energy is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Business Planning to lead the company’s long-range, strategic business planning initiatives. This role will oversee financial, operational, and market planning for renewable energy projects, including BESS and PV assets, and lead the inter-department coordination to execute the Company’s business plan and strategy. The ideal candidate will combine deep industry knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional leadership skills to ensure business execution and to develop and implement growth strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and execution of long-term business plans, including financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic initiatives for TGE as BESS-focused IPP and Grid & Energy Services Provider.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define corporate strategy, project pipeline prioritization, and investment planning.
Analyze market trends, policy developments, and competitive landscape to inform business decisions.
Develop and maintain financial models for the Company, including cash flow analysis, ROI, and scenario planning.
Partner with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between business plans and operational execution.
Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics to drive efficiency and profitability.
Lead and mentor a team of business planning professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Present key insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in business planning, corporate strategy, project management or financial management within renewable energy, power generation, or utilities.
Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable technologies (PV, BESS), project management, and corporate strategy.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and complex strategic initiatives.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours, with frequent interruptions.
Willingness to travel.
