Qualifications: Candidates should have a B.A. or B.S., 3-5 years of experience in K-12 education or a related field, and a commitment to expanding educational opportunities, with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Location: This is a remote position based in New York, with a willingness to travel up to 10%.
Compensation: $56000 - $95000 / Annually

The State and District Partnerships (SDP) team at College Board is a dynamic and high-energy group dedicated to expanding opportunities for students by collaborating with educators in high schools, school districts, and state departments of education. Our team is committed to promoting the use of College Board programs and services, including the SAT Suite of Assessments, Advanced Placement (AP), and BigFuture. Our division is relentless in our pursuit of increasing the number of students who have access to these programs and ensuring our partners have the supports they need to implement them effectively.
Within the Strategic District Partnerships (SDP) division, the Proposal Development team manages and optimizes the end-to-end response process for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring that every submission is compliant, competitive, and of the highest quality. We partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), sales, operations, technology, and other cross-functional teams to maintain a strong proposal content library and deliver strategic, efficient responses that support College Board’s mission.
About the Opportunity
The Associate Director, Proposal Development plays a critical role in developing and delivering College Board’sresponses to RFPs. This role primarily focuses on proposals for non-Texas school districts, higher education RFPs, and smaller-scale state opportunities. The Associate Director will also support large-scale state submissions and, during peak volume periods,assist with Texas district responses as needed. Reporting to the Director of Proposal Development, this individual manages the full lifecycle of proposal creation—from opportunity assessment to final submission—ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality proposals that position College Board for success.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented project manager with excellent writing and editing skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate across diverse internal teams to meet complex RFP requirements.
