Senior Enterprise Account Executive (SLED/FED)

Starburst is a data platform powering analytics, applications, and AI by unifying data across clouds and on-premises. We are seeking a quota-carrying Senior Enterprise Account Executive (SLED/FED) to generate and close new business in the public sector, manage complex enterprise deals, and expand Starburst's market presence with channel partners.

Skills

  • Full-spectrum enterprise SaaS sales experience (prospecting through close)
  • Proven federal/SLED sales experience and familiarity with public sector procurement
  • Strong negotiation, financial acumen, and deal structuring skills
  • Experience building and managing complex multi-stakeholder deals
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and disciplined pipeline management
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically in a high-growth environment
  • Comfort engaging with channel and alliance partner ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business opportunities for Starburst software and services within assigned territory
  • Develop and implement a territory sales strategy and targeted account plans
  • Articulate Starburst value proposition and manage pilot/business case processes
  • Continuously generate and manage pipeline to meet long-term revenue goals
  • Engage and leverage channel and alliance partners to source and advance opportunities
  • Manage opportunities through full sales cycle from initial inquiry to close
  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives for assigned territory
  • Provide regular updates on active accounts, pipeline, and forecasts via CRM
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and develop referenceable customers
  • Travel occasionally for client visits, onboarding, and company events

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant training or certifications in sales, business, or related fields (preferred)
