Yield Engineer (Starlink/Akoustis)
Skills
- Experience with RF device testing, wafer probing, and S-parameter interpretation
- Strong knowledge of SPC, Cpk analysis, Western Electric rules, and DOE methods
- Proven data analysis skills and experience applying root-cause methodologies (8D, PFMEA)
- Ability to build automated dashboards and reporting systems for yield monitoring
- Familiarity with JMP statistical software and scripting/automation (JSL or Python)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database tools
- Familiarity with KLayout CAD software and interaction between fab processes and device performance
- Experience working in high-volume manufacturing with frequent product changeovers
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and report on fab yields and RF test/wafer probe results to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop, implement, and maintain SPC systems, Cpk analysis, and Western Electric rules for early excursion detection
- Apply structured problem solving (8D, PFMEA, DOE, multivariate analysis) to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects that measurably increase FAB yield and performance
- Create and maintain automated yield dashboards, pareto charts, and SPC tracking for continuous monitoring
- Develop and update SOPs, engineering instructions, and documentation to maintain process consistency
- Collaborate with process, device, product, quality & reliability, software, and design engineering teams
- Be available to work extended hours and weekends as required to meet critical milestones
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
